Downtown Crystal Lake / Main Street

Design Guidelines

Business owners and property owners in Downtown Crystal Lake have extra resources available to them through our local Main Street program.  Through Main Street, a team of architects at the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency are available for consultations, recommendations and guidance.  

Downtown Crystal Lake's Design Committee has created a booklet of Design Guidelines.  These guidelines have been created to help answer questions and to assist in properly renovating and restoring an historic building.  Click here for the Downtown Design Guidelines.
