New Wayfinding Signs installed in Downtown Crystal Lake!
For the past two years, the Main Street Design Committee has been working on
the design, fabrication, and installation of directional Wayfinding Signs.
This has been a long process, but the results are stunning!
In June, 2006, thirteen Wayfinding signs were installed within the downtown
district. These signs direct pedestrians and motorists alike to shops,
restaurants, parking and places of interest (such as The Raue Center, Train
Depot & City Hall).
Additional Wayfinding signs will also be installed at locations outside
of downtown to direct motorists from major arterials such as Routes 14, 31, &
176.
Downtown Crystal Lake / Main Streets wishes to acknowledge and thank James
McDonough of Legat Architects, who volunteered his time and talent in the
creation of these beautiful signs.
